Hot dry weather means no fires except campfires in Brudenell, Lyndoch, and Raglan

With temperatures soaring and little rain in the forecast the township is suspending all burn permits and will not be issuing any more.

The municipality is moving to a “Level 1 Fire Ban” effective May 31st.

Campfires are still allowed in the evenings and at night.

The ban is being put in place because of hot dry conditions in the area making it extremely likely for fires to become out of control.
