People who run the Madawaska Valley Food Bank aren’t just kind-hearted people. They’re very smart people, too.
The Food Bank team was the winner at Madawaska Valley Public Library’s Cabin Fever Trivia Night fundraiser on Friday night.
The team featured Paul Thompson, Tish and Mike Whitfield and Mushana and Bill Schroeder. They got 68 of 80 questions correct, to win by a fair margin.
But the real winner was the library, as the event was a fundraiser. Twelve teams paid the $75 entrance fee to compete, packing the upstairs of the Paul J. Yakabuski Centre.
Other top teams were Slow Down We’re Thinking and The Opeongo Readers, who each had 62 points.
