Tennis will be for everyone at the Lakeshore Tennis Club this year.
Madawaska Valley has announced some changes to the municipally-run facility. It’s going away from an exclusive membership model and allowing free public use of the courts in the afternoons daily.
To access the courts from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., you’ll need to be a member. But from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. the courts will be available to the public.

The town says the changes are being tested out in 2023 and will be reviewed at the end of the season.
The courts aren’t open yet – as there’s still snow on the ground – but are expected to open later this spring, when the weather permits.
More details on on the changes and membership information can be found here.
