Killaloe OPP seeks help in crash, theft investigations

Killaloe OPP is asking for the public’s help in three different investigations.

Two involve drivers who failed to remain at the scene of collisions.

Police believe one happened at 5:30 p.m. on Friday on Highway 60, near Aylen Lake Road, in South Algonquin. They say a black pick-up truck entered a ditch and damaged guardrails, but then left, heading west on the highway.

Another happened at noon on Friday, on John Street in Bonnechere Valley. Police say a car smashed into an unoccupied SUV parked on the side of the road, but then fled the scene.

Killaloe OPP is also asking for the public’s help in a theft investigation. Police were called to a property on Martin Street in Madawaska Valley on March 21. An orange chainsaw and a red ice auger were reported stolen.

Police ask that anyone with information call the detachment at 613-757-2600. You can also call Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 1-800-222-TIPS. You could be eligible for a cash reward.
