Some comforting news to report for health care patients in Madawaska Valley: St. Francis Valley Memorial Hospital will soon have a new fluid warmer and wheelchair. And Valley Manor will soon receive a new therapeutic mattress.
The purchases can be made, after St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation heard it was successful in a grant application.
It comes from the Ontario Provincial Command Branches and the Ladies’ Auxiliaries Charitable Foundation; programs connected to the Barry’s Bay Legion.

The success was celebrated at the Legion this week, where a cheque for $11,852 was turned over to the Foundation.
