Jerome Brotton has won the Week 22 prize in St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery.
Brotton, the owner of The Mayflower store in Barry’s Bay, won $1,397. But when he turned over a card, the ace of spades was not found so the lottery continues.
The Week 23 prize is estimated at $1,500 and if the ace of spades turns up a jackpot that’s now nearing $35,000 will be won. Tickets, for $5, are being sold at several Madawaska Valley-area stores.

Each week, a portion of sales goes to a weekly prize and another portion is put into the jackpot. And another portion of the funds go towards health care.
