Are you a student and do you want to be your own boss this summer?
If so, the Summer Company Program may be for you.
Enterprise Renfrew County has announced it’s getting ready for this year’s edition of the program. It’s for students ages 15 to 29 who want to start their own company. The program gives out financial awards and business training, but only to a select few.
Successful applicants receive training in financial management, sales and marketing, among other skills.
Past participants in the program have been food vendors, artists and bakers, to name just a few professions.
Organizers say Summer Company is a highly competitive program with only five spaces available. Interested students are encouraged to apply at the earliest opportunity. The application deadline is May 15 at midnight.
