Another winner in St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery has been announced.
Fred McEachnie, of Rockingham, is the Week 18 winner.
He took home $1,124. But when he flipped over a card, the ace of spades was not found.
So, the lottery will move to Week 19, when another prize of about $1,200 is anticipated. And, if the ace turns up, that winner will receive a jackpot that’s now above $26,000.
Five-dollar tickets are being sold at several Madawaska Valley-area stores, with proceeds benefiting healthcare.
Each week, a portion of the revenue goes into a weekly prize.
Another portion goes to the jackpot, which will be awarded when the weekly winner flips over a card and finds the ace of spades.
There’s 52 cards in a deck, which means the lottery could potentially go for 52 weeks.
