A new Deputy Mayor has been appointed in Hastings Highlands Township.
Council members voted to appoint Councillor Greg Roberts to the position in the absence of the Mayor for the remainder of its term.
This comes as a resolution was approved by council to accept the resignation of former Deputy Mayor Mike Levesque from the position.

Levesque will continue to be a Hastings Highlands councillor.
