The Renfrew County Real Estate Board says they saw a large decline in home sales in May.
The Board reports that home sales were 23 percent lower than they were in May of 2021, and around 17 percent below the five-year average for the month. So far this year, home sales have declined by over a quarter of what they were at this point last year.
The average price of homes remains high, with the average at $475,000. Active listings were nearly 60 percent below the five-year average.
