Police say swerving to avoid an animal was the cause of a collision in Algonquin Park over the weekend.
Police say the 68-year-old driver from Barry’s Bay was transported to hospital by ORNGE Air on Sunday, May 8, adding the driver lost control of their vehicle near Opeongo Lake and struck a rock cut. Police say the driver sustained serious injuries as a result.
The OPP adds to be mindful of animals while driving and to not swerve to miss an animal while on the road.
