Madawaska Valley Township will change its fees for garbage this month.
The new fees will go into effect on April 19th 2022. Among the changes is a $10 per cubic meter curbside bin fee, and an increase of the bag tag from $1 to $2. In addition, getting rid of mattresses will cost you $10, and getting rid of any appliance with freon is $40 unless tagged by a qualified person. Leaf and yard waste, as well as tires, can be dumped for no charge.
Accessing a waste site outside of operating hours will cost $150. Dumping construction waste, shingles, brush and sawdust will cost $52.50 per cubic meter.
