When the inquest into the murders of three Renfrew County women happens, two groups in Renfrew County want to make sure that people’s voices are heard.

End Violence Against Women Renfrew County and the Renfrew County Women’s Sexual Assault Centre is holding a number of community engagement events ahead of the inquest in June into the murders of Anastasia Kuzyk, Nathalie Warmerdam and Carol Culleton. The consultations are looking to provide a space for people to talk about how intimate partner violence and femicide can be stopped in rural communities.

The events will happen in April and May. On April 30th, a consultation will take place in the North Room of the Killaloe Community Resource Centre starting at 1:30 PM. Another will be held at the Bonnechere Union Public Library on May 3rd starting at 2 PM. Other engagements will happen at the Cobden Legion Upper Hall and the Pembroke Public Library Board Room on May 2nd.
