OPP asking for public assistance after pedestrian struck in Barry’s Bay

The OPP is asking the public for information after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in downtown Barry’s Bay.

Police were at the scene on Wednesday, July 7th around 11 AM on Opeongo Line at Bay Street. The driver of a pickup truck hit a pedestrian that was walking on the crosswalk. The 60-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, a 77-year-old from South Algonquin Township was not injured.
