Petawawa Calls Dangerous Situation a Hoax

Military Police blocked off an area around Petawawa’s North Side Town Site for a dangerous situation that turned out to be a hoax.
According to a release by the Canadian Forces base, police responded to a call in the residential housing units on Friday morning.
All access to the area was shut down for several hours and after the investigation, the alarm was deemed a prank.
The area was opened shortly before six, Friday morning.
