Pembroke Disturbance Leads to Weapons Charges

A man from Pembroke is facing charges after brandishing a weapon.

OPP were called Tuesday after calls reporting a disturbance. Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Miller Street in the City of Pembroke. OPP say one of the people involved brandished a weapon. Police arrested a subject in the area in connection to the incident. They recovered an imitation firearm as a result. As a result of the incident police executed a search warrant at residence nearby. However, the search did not lead to any more arrests or charges.

A 29 year old Pembroke man has been charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose and resisting a peace officer. The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody. He will make a new court appearance on Friday.
