A 53-year-old Arnprior native has been charged with first-degree murder.
Blake Dooley is charged in the October shooting death of Christine MacNeil in Gatineau.
MacNeil was shot and killed at the Four Points Sheraton on Laurier.
Gatineau police say there is evidence to believe the shooting was planned.
Dooley was arrested last Wednesday by the Gatineau Police and Ottawa Police Services tactical squad in Ottawa’s west end.
According to police, Dooley has a reputation of violence and firearms charges.
He appeared in court Thursday and is being held until his next hearing on March 14th.
