Environment Canada has released a statement alerting that strong winds are making their way to Renfrew County.
The special weather statement will affect:
- Barry’s Bay – Killaloe
- Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden
- Renfrew – Arnprior – Calabogie
They are saying that strong and gusty west to southwest winds will be coming today and blowing snow is also possible.

Strong southwest winds with gusts to 80 km/h will start to slowly diminish this afternoon.
These winds are strong enough to cause minor tree damage and a few local power outages. Reduced visibility in blowing snow is also possible today.
