A power outage caused approximately 6000 residents to wake up in the dark this morning.
Alicia Sayers, company spokesperson for Hydro One, says that this morning’s power outage was caused by a down power line.
She says the outage was reported around 4:00 AM and that crews started patrolling power lines and sectioning them off in order to find the problem. She adds that from then on, power was restored bit by bit. By 9:00 AM she says that nearly half of home owners affected had gotten their power back.

Sayers then states that power was restored to every customer by 10:07 AM and wants to thank home owners for their patience.
