Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have charged a man with animal cruelty.
According to police, several 911 calls were made about the man on Christie Street in Pembroke early Sunday morning.
As a result, the 22-year-old Pembroke man has been charged with cruelty to animals and failing to comply with probation. The man was released and will appear in a Pembroke court in September.

Police say the dog did not require veterinary treatment and has been removed from the man’s care.
