This weekend, you won’t need a license to hit the lakes and go fishing in Renfrew County.
That’s because the second “Ontario Family Fishing Events” is coming up this weekend, and runs from Saturday until the following Sunday. The province says that residents between 18 and 64 won’t need a license to cast their lines.
However, you’re being reminded that there are still laws and limits while fishing, and breaking them could result in a fine. These rules are in place to keep fish population steady for years to come.
