Senior’s Workshop for Fraud Prevention Coming to Pembroke

After multiple fraud calls reported in the last few weeks, the OPP is holding a presentation to spread awareness.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is working in conjunction with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre to provide a presentation for seniors about fraud and scam prevention and awareness.

The presentation is 45 minutes long and will include a question period as well. Topics to be covered include how to avoid a variety of scams including marketing fraud, identity theft, and advanced fee frauds.

The presentation is at the Senior’s Drop-In Centre in Pembroke and starts at 11:30am on March 2^nd, you have to call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre ahead of time at 613-756-1226 to register.
