Annual Road Restrictions Coming to South Algonquin

Residents in South Algonquin are being reminded of an annual change on local roads coming in a few weeks.

Every year on March 1^st since 2015, the South Algonquin Township has had a load restriction on some of their roads during the spring thaw. The restrictions are effective until May 15^th each year and includes 61 roads in the township.

The township says the purpose for the load restriction is to protect roads from heavy load damage during the spring thaw.
