Residents reminded to move snow onto own property, not roadway
Police are reminding you not to shovel snow onto your roadways.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says it’s recently been made aware of concerns from the public about people shoveling snow from their driveway onto their road. Police are reminding you that it’s against the law to do this and if you do, you could be fined $110.
Depending on where you live, you could also be breaking municipal by-laws as well. Police want you to shovel show somewhere else on your property instead.
