Funding requests accepted at council meeting

Funding requests for three projects received approval at last night’s Madawaska Valley council meeting.

Council accepted three recommendations for donation requests from the township’s Recreation, Heritage and Culture committee.

This included help to cover water to flood the outdoor rink in Wilno, the use of the South of 60 Arts Centre/Railway Station plus horse drawn wagon rides for the annual Tree of Lights celebration and use of the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre for the Christmas Girls Night Out event.
