Property taxes in Renfrew County are going up.
County council approved Renfrew’s 2018 budget on Monday.
It includes a three per cent tax increase.
The county says this will be a roughly six dollar increase for homes assessed at nearly $200,000.
Warden Jennifer Murphy says this means the county will have the necessary resources to operate all of its programs and services.
In addition, Murphy says it will be able to fund a $244-million asset renewal program.
