The Mayor of Madawaska Valley says there are many ways the township could use the Main Street Revitalization funding.
Mayor Kim Love says that the distribution of the funds means that it is 100% funding to the township and doesn’t require any contribution from the municipality.
Love says that the nearly $40,000 can be used to revitalize downtown and main streets, or could also be directed to local businesses to improve the appearance of their storefronts through either lighting or new signage.

Love says that she hopes the guidelines for eligible projects will be available soon so council can decide the best use for the funds.
