Two Madawaska Valley men have been fined by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.

Both of the men have been fined for unlawfully harvesting timber without a forest resource license. According to the MNRF, a Crown lot north of Madawaska Valley had a quantity of red pine illegally harvested from it in the summer of 2015.
