Shoplifting Call in Laurentian Valley Leads to Arrests

Police have arrested two people following a shoplifting incident.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says that on Monday afternoon they were called to the Walmart in Laurentian Valley after a shoplifting complaint.

Walmart staff reported that a man stole personal accessories and electronics before leaving in a van. Police located the van at a nearby Sport Chek and saw the suspect leaving there with stolen clothing as well.

Police say they chased the man on food and arrested him. As a result a 30-year-old Pembroke man is facing multiple charges, while a 31-year-old Pembroke woman who was in the van is also facing charges.
