Police are warning business owners and cash employees of a scammer in the area.
That’s according to Renfrew OPP, who says a quick-change scammer was successful in stealing money at a small business in Renfrew.
Police say the suspect bought a small item and attempted to pay with large bills. According to police, the suspect then asked the employee to make change for other large denominations and confused the employee. The suspect left the building and the employee realized they were missing around $210.
Police are investigating video surveillance.
