Snowmobile Riders Being Asked to Check Trail Status Before Riding

Local snowmobilers are being asked to stay off of trails this week.

The request comes from President of the Opeongo Snowbirds Snowmobile Club Cheryl Reid, who says the trail base needs to set before it can be used.

According to Reid, trail grooming volunteers have done work to prepare the trail base for today’s predicted rainfall. Reid says if you’re unsure if trails are open or not, you can check the OFSC Go Snowmobiling Ontario Interactive Trail Guide.
