Counterfeit Money Found In Area: OPP Urging Public To Check Bills

Police are warning the public to keep an eye out for counterfeit money.

This comes after counterfeit bills were found in the area in the last few days. That’s according to Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Constable Shawn Peever, who says there’s way to detect counterfeit bills.

Peever also says that you can take any counterfeit money to either the bank, or straight to police.

You could face criminal charges for knowingly using counterfeit money.
