The town of Bancroft now has a new mayor.
After a unanimous council vote, Paul Jenkins was named to the role.
Jenkins says he is pleased, and that council has a lot of work ahead of it.
Jenkins takes over for former Mayor Bernice Jenkins, who officially resigned last Thursday.

Council also voted to appoint Charles Mullett as the town’s new Deputy Mayor, a position that Mullett looks forward to taking on.
Council is also expected to announce who it will appoint as its newest member at its next meeting on December 12th.
