With the holiday season quickly approaching, the OPP is launching another year of the Festive RIDE campaign.
The campaign targeting impaired drivers started Friday, and will run through the holidays until January 2nd.
Constable Philippe Regamey says impaired drivers who are caught by police can face hefty penalties.

Regamey also says you can help police prevent impaired driving by reporting it.
If you’re going to be drinking, plan for a safe ride home or to stay the night if you can’t get a ride.
