A Bancroft man found guilty of sexual assault dating back to 2002 will spend four years in jail.
J. Steven O’Connor was sentenced in Belleville court yesterday.
In July, the 57-year-old was convicted of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching involving a person under 16, and uttering threats.

On top of the jail term, O’Connor will also serve a lifetime weapon prohibition.
O’Connor will be added to the sexual offender registry, and need to provide a DNA sample.
