Petawawa residents are being reminded to renew their pet’s licenses before the end of 2017.
All cats and dogs in the city are required to be licensed and tagged annually, and the cost to do so is doubling in the new year.
The town says that it’s the pet owner’s responsibility to buy tags and residents must do so at the Town Offices. Owners of unlicensed pets could face a fine.

The deadline to purchase tags for the upcoming year is December 29th at noon, and tags are required to bring dogs to the off-leash dog park.
