OPP Reminding Residents To Be Wary After Several CRA Fraud Call Reports

After numerous calls from residents, Killaloe OPP are reminding everyone to be wary of fraudulent calls.

Constable Catherine Yarmel says that the Canada Revenue Agency wouldn’t be asking for information they should already have on file.

Yarmel also says you should contact the Canada Revenue Agency yourself to confirm whether or not the call is in fact a fraudster.

This comes after multiple calls made to the police by residents, claiming that the Canada Revenue Agency have been calling them asking for their Social Insurance Numbers.
