OVCATA Meeting to Have OPP Representatives On Hand

Vehicle collisions with bicycles will be discussed at next week’s Ottawa Valley Cycling and Active Transportation Alliance Meeting.

That’s according to Renfrew OPP, who was contacted by the alliance’s executive members after their October meeting to try and attain some numbers regarding these types of collisions.

As a result, the Renfrew detachment did some research and found that there were 42 reported vehicle-bicycle collisions within the Renfrew County from 2012 to 2017.

The next OVCATA meeting is next Thursday, November 2^nd at the Rocky Mountain House in Renfrew, with an OPP member on hand to discuss the findings.
