A Whitewater Region man has been identified as the driver killed in a collision on Saturday morning.
That’s according to Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, who says 73-year-old Harold Alport was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Beachburg Road.
Police say Alport was driving a pickup truck, while a 38-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy were in the other vehicle. Both were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of the collision, Beachburg Road was closed for several hours for investigation.
