Aftermath of Minor Fire Discovered on Sprucedale Avenue

While zero calls were reported during Fire Prevention Week, Fire Chief Corwin Quade says he found the aftermath of one in Barry’s Bay.

Quade says he found a burnt fence on Sprucedale Avenue on the afternoon of October 10th.

Quade also says the fire was believed to have been started behind the fence and eventually spread to the fence, which was scorched.

While there was only minor damage, Quade says it could have been much worse. This follows a recent trend of suspicious small fires in the area, after nearly a dozen were report on Peter Street, just one street over.
