No Fires Reported In Madawaska Valley During Fire Prevention Week

Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade (kwad) said he had hoped for a better Fire Prevention Week in 2017, and he got just that.

In 2016, Quade says the fire department responded to seven calls during Fire Prevention Week which included everything from car fires to forest fires.

In 2017, there were no calls for fire during Fire Prevention Week. Quade says he feels that the message of fire safety is really starting to be embraced by Madawaska Valley residents, and he’s thrilled that the numbers have been so low.
