Bishop Smith Catholic High School in Pembroke has officially reopened for classes.

The school had been closed all of last week after a fire on Sunday, October 1st.

The Pembroke Fire Department says that the fire started in a storage closet, and was contained to the Grade 8 wing of the school. Although the fire was contained, the school board decided to keep the school closed for the remainder of the week until air quality tests had been conducted.

Classes have now resumed at the school, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
