The Madawaska Valley Township has announced that the Culture and Tourism Coordinator is no longer employed by the township.
Anya Gansterer had previously held the position, but the township announced in a press release Wednesday that she is no longer employed. The release states that the municipality cannot discuss the details of confidential employment matters.
This follows rumours that the Railway Station Tourism Centre in Barry’s Bay is closing, which Mayor Kim Love has since claimed to be untrue.

Love says herself and the rest of council want to see the tourism centre open just as much as anybody else.
