OPP Kicks Off Annual Seat Belt Campaign

The OPP is kicking off their province wide seat belt campaign today, and it will run until October 6^th.

OPP Constable Catherine Yarmel says that buckling up isn’t just about avoiding a fine, it’s about being safe.

Yarmel also says the goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about the safety of seat belts.

The OPP says there have been 29 seat belt related deaths on OPP-patrolled roads in 2017 alone.
