The province of Ontario is expanding before and after school programs for students up to the age of 12.
That’s according to Indira Naidoo-Harris, Minister Responsible for Early Years and Child Care, who announced all school boards in Ontario are now required to provide before and after school programming.
The province says that 80% of school’s already offers this programming as of September 1st.

St. John Bosco School in Barry’s Bay already offers this programming every morning from 6:30am until 8:00am, and after school from 3:00pm until 5:30pm.
However, the Madawaska Valley District High School does not offer this programming for younger students in this age range.
