The Madawaska Valley Township is cracking down on people illegally leaving garbage bags at dumping sites.

That’s according by-law officer Corwin Quade (kwad), who says fine for this are $200 per bag.

Quade also says that the majority of these issues have been at the gate of the Combermere Waste Transfer site on Old Barry’s Bay Road.

The area is monitored by a camera and footage is sent to a government database which identifies the owner of the license plate and fines then for $200 per bag.
