Group of Local Parents Trying To Start a Scout Group

Local parents are coming together in an attempt to start a scouts group to serve the Madawaska Valley.

The group would be based out on Combermere, and would serve other local towns such as Barry’s Bay and Palmer Rapids. The organizers say boys are girls aged five and up are invited to join.

However, the group is looking for a sponsor to help them get off the ground, and would need volunteers to help with administrative duties and helping with the young scouts.
