Simpson Pit Road Construction To Take Longer Than Expected

Construction to Simpson Pit Road will take longer than expected.

The road has seen closures since July 10^th, and was expected to be reopened today by the Renfrew County Department of Public Works.

However, according to public works the road will now be reopened later in September but they do not have a firm date set yet.

Simpson Pit Road is used as a through road from Highway 60 to Round Lake Centre.

The road was closed for culvert repairs at Byers Creek.
