Community groups seeking donations at township committee meeting today

Three community groups will be seeking financial support from the Madawaska Valley at today’s committee meeting.

The township’s Recreation, Heritage and Culture committee will hear a request from the Wilno Recreation Corporation for help to cover the cost of water to flood the outdoor rink.

The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation will also be requesting funding for the use of the visitor centre and wagon rides for the annual Tree of Lights celebration.

Ann Maika will then ask for a donation for the rental of the lounge at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre during the first Girls Night Out event next month.

The meeting is happening at the municipal office in Barry’s Bay at 9:00am.
