A nursing home in Arnprior will be getting new beds thanks to provincial funding.
Premier Kathleen Wynne announced that The Grove in Arnprior would be expanding from 60 to 96 beds as part of a redevelopment.
The government is also supporting The Grove’s renewal as part of the Enhanced Long-Term Care Home Renewal Strategy.
The strategy is said to redevelop over 30,000 beds in more than 300 long term care centres in the next eight years, all across Ontario.
Funding for long term care homes in Ontario was increased by two percent for 2017-2018, now totaling $80.5 million.
